Cities Programme: The story so far & what’s next
Join our upcoming convenings to reflect, learn, and co-create the next stage of our work
Have you been following DemocracyNext's Cities Programme and would like to learn more about how it's going? Would you like to be part of shaping our thinking for the next stage of our work supporting cities?
If so, please join us for one of two virtual convenings on 30 September or 2 October 2025.
This will be a 90 minute call to:
🔍 Tell the story so far and reflect on what’s been learned
🚀 Share our ambitions for next steps
🤝 Brainstorm together about how else DemNext can help cities
If this interests you, please register for one of the calls below:
30 September (9.00-10.30 CET / 18:00-19:00 AEDT) - Zoom registration link
2 October (8.00-9.30 PT / 11.00-12.30 ET / 17.00-18.30 CET) - Zoom registration link
We’re eager to reflect together on how the DemNext Cities Programme has gone so far and how we imagine this work evolving.
We’d love your feedback! Did you use or share insights from Six Ways to Democratise City Planning? Take our short (5 questions) survey and let us know here.
In case you missed it, since September 2024, we’ve been working with two municipalities - Vilnius (Lithuania), Esch-sur-Alzette (Luxembourg) - and an NGO The Great Green Wall Frontline Initiative in Kerewan (The Gambia) to build their knowledge and capacity to implement their first citizens’ assemblies - with the intention to learn from this process to embed citizen deliberation into their decision making processes in the future.
